Application Process

  • To get the discount, you must first register to participate in the Scheme, using the application form.
  • Applications can be made at any time using forms available at various outlets, including airports and other offices, or by downloading the form below.
  • You will then receive an Air Discount Scheme card, which you should use when you book travel.
  • Eligible persons of the same household can register for this scheme on one application form. They will each receive an individual Air Discount Scheme card.
  • The card will be valid until 31 March 2011.
  • The discount will be applied by the airline when you book trips on eligible routes.
  • Discounted tickets will be available direct from the airline (internet/telephone sales) or from affiliated travel agents.

Conditions of Membership

The Air Discount Scheme is available to all people ("eligible persons") 16 years and above whose main residence is in one of the defined eligible areas.

Rules

  • All eligible persons 16 years and above should be issued with a personalised eligibility card.
  • Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted to have cards in their own name.
  • The scheme permits persons under the age of 16 to be included in one or more cards of named individuals that have, on application, declared themselves guardians, parents or carers of those persons (persons under 16 years).
  • When making bookings under the Air Discount Scheme, you should book discounted tickets only for yourself, young people registered to your card and other members.  Scheme members who book discounted tickets for non-members face withdrawal of their membership.
  • Under the scheme it is not required for a card holder to travel with the person under 16 years BUT the card holder is required to purchase a discounted ticket for travellers under 16 years.
  • A card holder may purchase discounted tickets ONLY for the persons under 16 years included on their card.
  • The above rules are in addition and subject to airlines current regulations.
